Spicewood is the Hill Country town wrapped around this end of Lake Travis. It is small and spread out, with a handful of very good places along the highways and a lot of open land in between.
The Reserve sits inside it, which puts Krause Springs about ten minutes away, barbecue a short drive down the road and Marble Falls or Austin within under an hour in either direction.
Local, not touristy
